WHAT TO PREPARE FOR THE LIVE AUDITION:
Interested students should sign up for a 30 minute audition group. Students will be given the opportunity to read from the script with other auditionees. Nothing to prepare, although a broad understanding of the story and characters will help you with your character choices.
WHAT IS A STAGED READING?
A staged reading is live theatre stripped to its purest form — actors bring the play to life through voice, expression, and presence, scripts in hand, with no sets or costumes to distract. The story lives in the words, and the audience's imagination does the rest.
HOW TO PREPARE A VIDEO AUDITION:
Please sign up on the Audition Signup Genius for a “video audition” slot - so we know to expect your video and have updated contact information.
Slate your name & age.
Record a monologue of your choosing in the style of the show and to show off your ability to interpret a script.
Videos must be sent as a YouTube link to education@lakecountryplayhousewi.org.
