25|26 SPING/SUMMER ACADEMY AUDITIONS AT A GLANCE:

SPRING MUSICAL: MARCH 2026 (Performances JUNE 11-21, 2026)
SUMMER MUSICALS: APRIL 2026 (Performances JULY 23-26, 2026 P.M. cast or JULY 30-AUG 2, 2026 A.M. cast)

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR A LIVE AUDITION:

Slate your full name, age, name of your character/show title for your chosen monologue.

Download A Monologue

Prepare a 1-minute monologue from a play or musical (does not need to be memorized, but is preferred).

Download a monologue here if you do not already have one, but feel free to use your own.

Prepare a 1 minute section of a song, preferably a song that matches the style of the show being auditioned for (does not need to be memorized, but is preferred). This will be sung acapella.

HOW TO PREPARE A VIDEO AUDITION:

Follow the same steps as above in the “What to Prepare for a Live Audition” section. After you have completed your slate, monologue and song as described above please answer the following questions in your video:

  1. What do you enjoy about theatre?

  2. What skills are you looking to develop?

Videos must be sent as a YouTube link to education@lakecountryplayhousewi.org. Please also sign up on the Audition Signup Genius for a “video audition” slot - so we know to expect your video and have updated contact information.

GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION:

  • Students interested in being cast in a production workshop MUST AUDITION, either in-person or by submitting in a video.

  • Students cast, are placed by the directors in a production based on skill level, age, roles available and availability/conflicts.

  • Actors must be available for ALL TECH REHEARSALS (the week before performances) AND PERFORMANCES to be cast.

  • There is NO FEE to audition - Tuition will be assessed upon the acceptance of a role.

  • Auditions will take place in our Rehearsal Studios: 246 E. Capitol Dr. Hartland, WI 53029 (The basement of the church across the street from the Playhouse)

  • Casting is usually complete within 2 weeks of the callback dates listed. Unfortunately, we cannot cast everyone who auditions - we WISH we could! Either way, everyone who auditions will be notified of casting decisions via email as soon as possible.

All Academy classes, workshops and auditions will take place in our Rehearsal Studios: 246 E. Capitol Dr. Hartland, WI 53029.
