Esther, a corporate executive, is confronted by Chloë, a junior colleague, regarding their firm's inaction about reports of misconduct by its guiding and famous visionary, The Genius.
Esther, comfortable in her position if somewhat bitter about what she gave up for it, is reluctant to answer Chloë's insistent call to arms. Their disagreement over the importance of what has happened, the attention that it might draw, and the resulting potential fallout, develops through their uneasy lopsided power dynamic and personal stories.
Separately, in two adjacent timelines, The Genius expounds on his vision and work in an interview and defends himself in a ferocious public address.
