Unsure what level or class is best for you? Or have you already taken some of our classes? Please keep in mind that classes are designed to be repeated, and will use different material each semester - choose the class based on what skills you would like to improve.
PETITE PERFORMERS |Ages 3 & 4
Saturdays 9:15-9:55am | with Kathryn Mooers & Jordyn Stewart
Journey through the worlds of sound, rhythm, movement, and improvisation. Classic children’s stories and sensory exercises are used to increase awareness, strengthen concentration and inspire creative spontaneity and imagination.
STORYBOOK THEATRE |Ages 5-7
Mondays, 4:30-5:25pm | with Calynn Klohn & Kathryn Mooers
Storybooks come to life in this beginner drama class as students will learn basic acting and presentation skills through imaginative play, theatre games, and character building activities. This class encourages communication, collaboration, and understanding of story structure!
THE ACTOR TOOLBOX | Ages 8-18

(Level II) *Recommended for ages 12-18

We are filling the "Actor's Toolbox" with tools necessary for building strong characters in this intermediate acting class! Students will learn and apply acting principles and theatre etiquette through warm-ups, exciting games, and scene study. This class encourages exploration, relationship skills, and critical thinking!
IMPROV | Ages 8-18
Wednesdays, 5:00-5:55pm | with Kathryn Mooers & Kara Penrose
No scripts, no memorizing, just fun!! Young performers will use their imaginations, take risks, and learn how to be in the moment in this fun and energetic improv class! As a team they will create characters, relationships, and scenes unscripted! This class encourages collaboration, mental flexibility, and comedic timing.
TECHNICAL THEATRE | Ages 8-18
Thursdays, 5:00-6:30pm* | with Sarah Havey & Kathryn Mooers
Students will have their hands in every step of the creative process; exploring workshops in costuming, prop, stage management, set building, and lighting, and have their work showcased on stage in LCP MainStage and Academy productions! (*Class dates January 17-February 28)
VOICE TOOLBOX | Ages 10-18
Wednesdays, 5:00 - 5:55pm | with Ashley Sprangers
Aspiring singers participate in a series of group voice lessons to establish their vocal technique and create harmonies through ensemble work, and use their "toolboxes" to explore and bring characters to life through music in their solo selections. Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate on and perform in an invited showcase. This class encourages vocal technique, work ethic, and self-expression.
STAGE COMBAT: Jedi FORCE Training | Ages 10-18
Wednesdays, 6:00 - 6:55pm | with Kara Penrose & Kathryn Mooers
Students will learn basic fight choreography with hand-to-hand combat and swordplay and choreograph an exciting fight scene! This class encourages safety, physicality, and presentation skills!
ALL IN THE TIMING: Production Workshop| Ages 12+ | (AUDITION ONLY)
Mondays 5:30-8:00pm & Thursdays, 6:00-8:30pm | Directed by Kathryn Mooers & Jordyn Stewart
Dates and times are subject to change based on enrollment. Classes are first come first served-additional classes may be opened when/if classes fill up.
Bundle classes for $10 off each additional class; Also applies when registering siblings. Does not apply when students are enrolling in a class and a production or audition workshop.
Age ranges are guidelines- Basis for enrollment is experience level. If you believe your child should be considered for a class outside of their age range please email firstname.lastname@example.org for guidance and approval.
SPRING AUDITION WORKSHOP
April 1, 5 & 8 (Discount available if enrolling in advance for more than one) | 5pm-7pm
Our Audition Workshops are perfect for new performers to be introduced to the audition process, as well as helping polish our more seasoned performer’s audition materials. You'll work directly with the directors of PPAA productions so that by audition day you are comfortable and confident! We will discuss monologue selection, learn how to warm-up and stay calm, and most importantly, master audition etiquette! Come with something to work on, or use the materials provided. Students will walk away feeling like an audition pro!
Audition workshops cost Walk-in Rate: $25/2-hour workshop. $20 if enrolled in advance for more than one.
